> 2026-03-17: Well, today is my first day at work as the acting chief engineer. Just call me Geordie LaForge! Though it started on Saturday, technically. Anyway, I started on with the Gateway Experience today (I had tried it before, but didn't make it a habit), so I'm going to try to make that a habit. While I didn't feel necessarily energized after, I did feel more relaxed than normal. I also want to try to find a nice balance of utilizing notebooks to help take the load off of my brain, and lessen the impact my ADHD (and my medication) has on my energy reserves. I also did a workout last week that I hope I can do again this week. Wasn't anything crazy, just calisthenics: squats, kneeling push-ups, and parallel bar rows.
> 2026-03-12: I'm starting to use my work notebook more to keep track of what I'm doing during the day at work. Though, I've found that on days (like today) where I forget my ADHD medication, I forget it exists. Regardless, it helps keep me on track and reduces the need for me to actively remember, which is something I struggle with.
> 2026-03-05: I'll be taking over for my boss for a few weeks, as the chief engineer. He'll be away on vacation and won't legally be able to be in charge of the plant during that time. I'm excited and terrified.
> 2026-02-10: I have a massive aversion to taking pills (except pain killers or NSAIDs). My body literally shudders at the thought.
> 2026-02-03: Almost complete the garage shelving and workbench with my wife. For note, it's for her and not for me. I'm more techy than buildy, though I'd like to become more buildy which is why I'm enjoying helping her with this and other renovations to the house. Spring brings on finishing the balcony and starting on attic teardown.
> 2026-02-02: Day four back on an SSRI and ADHD medication. The latter is definitely making me energetic but that's because it's the full dose as opposed to starting off with the half dose. Weight mostly stabilized still at 230 lbs.
